                                                         OUR PUPPY PROCEDURE 

1. Fill out our puppy questionnaire
2. Wait for a response, these are not done daily but are checked frequently.
3. We are not a huge kennel but currently have 3 females that we are breeding. 
4. You are welcome to visit by appointment.
5. Under normal conditions we take a $400 deposit toward the next upcoming litter. 
6. After a deposit received, your name is put on our list. 
7. Once a female is bred you are notified of the sire of the litter. They will also be posted under upcoming litters                                       with the sire. Health clearance links from the Golden retriever Club of America are easily seen with each dog.
8. We check eyes yearly, have hips and elbows certified.  Elbow are listed as Normal. Hips are rated Fair, Good                                and Excellent. They are Xrays which are rated by 3 vets. Keep in mind that the way these are done at a vets office                                 where the dog is place in a position that show their hips, if their positioning is not correct it can easily affect the outcome.                              Our kennel over the last 40 years has had only 2 cases of hip dysplasia which resulted in surgery for the dog.  We also                                 do a heart evaluation. 
9.  We do DNA testing on all of the dogs we breed, this gives us a clear picture of anything that maybe hereditary.
10. We do not currently have our own males on site. We breed to golden owners who have shown their dogs in              conformation, agility, field trials and other competitive venues. This allows us to choose who we think will be a                                 good match for our female.                                                                                                                                                                                                               Working on this !
